A Rare Moment

This is a rare moment in the life of Ellie. Not so much that she is sleeping, she is a very good, long sleeper. She just never falls asleep on the couch. She's one that has to be relaxed and calmed down with a regular routine. I can't remember exactly what I did, but I walked out of the room for a couple minutes and when I came back, there she was. I was shocked and my heart melted. Funny how much cuter they are when they're sleeping.

Finally Warm Enough for Swimming

Below you will find the beginning of our swimming days. Ellie can't get enough of it! She gets more and more daring. She doesn't like me to help her, but we all know what happens when I let go. One of her favorite things to do is jump off the edge into the water. I got her a fun water ski floaty, but she doesn't like the restriction...go figure. She tries to float...but somehow always sinks. I caught her singing a swimming song in the bathtub a couple weeks ago. I'll have to post the video...when I figure out how to actually do that.

Wanna See a Big Guy Fly?

So Shawn and I were talking and he pointed out that our Sheffer blog was more of an Ellie blog. She's the cute one, I said. But to add a little variety into our "Ellie" blog, here are some entertaining photos. And then we'll know why this is an Ellie blog...oh, and just for the record, all photos and words were approved by both parties before I made this post. Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Hangin out on the chair

Here we have the famous Ellie and Shaylie. They are like sisters. Sometimes they like each other and sometimes they don't. It's kinda funny to watch them when they make each other mad. But we try not to let them see us laugh or they may not learn to be nice.

Priceless

Here are some priceless pictures. Ellie's favorite thing to do is go on slides. She has no fear; she'll go on the tallest, most twisted slides and loves it! And of course her sidekick, Shaylie was right there (let's be honest, Shaylie is more fearless than Ellie). It was fun to watch them enjoy the warm weather and each other.
