Everything you Wanted to Know About Ellie

Trampoline Time
An avid trampoline fan, Ellie shows off her many tricks...like clapping her hands. Ok so that is something that can be done without the tramp, but if you ask her to show you a trick on the tramp, that's the first thing she'll do. She will also do a summersault, bum sit, stradles, and of course, jump real high, which is an impressive 1/2 foot off the tramp!






Phobias
Ellie has a few phobias. One of them is something we discovered when I asked her to throw away the lint from the dryer vent. She would have nothing to do with it! She backs up and scrunches down to avoid touching it. She can hardly stand to even look at it. Here, Shawn is getting his haircut (compliments of Heather, my sister). As you'll see, Ellie is very concerned about the "fuffy" lying on the ground (something you and I would call a ball of hair). She wants me to hold her, but the fuffy is blocking her path to me, she retaliates...backing away slowly.





Preparing for the Baby
We moved the bassinet into our office for a little while so that Megan (my cousin) and her kids could stay with us. After their stay, we left the bassinet in there. One day I couldn't hear any noise in the house so I went looking for Ellie. I found her, testing out the bed for the baby on the way. She is so thoughtful! Looks like the baby will have no problems fitting in there...




Shoes are it!
Anyone who knows Ellie, knows that she has a serious shoe fetish...not so much keeping shoes on her feet, but trying on every pair of shoes she sees. (By the way, anyone who knows her dad also knows that the fetish came from him. Surprising, I know, but he has more shoes than I do!) Here, she's sporting Emily's (my sister) stylish pumps.



Time With Daddy
Time with daddy is something that can be hard to find. He works nights, which means he must sleep during the day. We take our weekends very seriously around here. It's family time! Here he is showing Ellie the ropes of videoing. She looks deeply interested.


Sleeping Beauty Aftermath
She may be a sleeping beauty, but man, the aftermath sure takes a toll. She has what we affectionately call cotton hair. No matter what, her hair turns into a ball of fluff each and every night! I guess every princess has some kind of curse to overcome...
